Sindh Starts Online Classes for Schools and Colleges

The Sindh government has finally started online classes for the students of schools and colleges. Secretary Education Sindh issued a notification in this regard on Friday, saying that online classes will cater to students of grade 6 to grade 12.
According to the notification, online classes will be launched with the help of UNICEF and Microsoft, while 75 Master Trainers will train government teachers for online classes. Moreover, IT experts are also being hired to facilitate online sessions.

In an effort to accelerate remote learning in a safe and secure environment, Microsoft is supporting the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan by deploying Teams for official online and remote learning interactions across more than 100 public and private universities.

Infinix Smart 4 Plus Specifications Leaked

Infinix, known for its budget-friendly smartphones, is gearing up to launch a maxed-out version of the 2019-launched Infinix Smart 4. The Infinix Smart 4 Plus was recently listed on Google Play’s Support list and Google Play Console.
The listings revealed that the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio P22 chipset topped with 3 GB RAM. Met Office Forecasts Unusually High Rainfall This Monsoon Season

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast 10% more rainfall than usual across the country during the upcoming monsoon season.
According to the official statement by the PMD, Sindh and Azad Jammu & Kashmir regions will receive 20% more rainfall than normal.

Imported Mobile Accessories Will Now be Charged a Significantly Higher Customs Duty

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has significantly increased the customs valuation rates of various mobile accessories such as the import of mobile charger with wire, mobile charger without wire, wireless charger pad/stand, car charger (single pin and multiple pins), desktop battery, mobile battery, selfie sticks and many other items.
According to the customs valuation rulings issued by the FBR, the new valuation are as follows:
Mobile charger with wire for different specification ranges on per piece basis from $1.38 to $2.47. Mobile charger without wire, the new customs valuation ranges from $0.35 to $1.45 on per piece basis. The wireless charger pad/stand, the valuation rate stands at $5.43. Traffic Police to Penalize Drivers Who Aren’t Wearing Masks

Chief traffic officer Lahore district, Hammad Abid, issued a statement declaring that the motorists who don’t wear masks while on the road, will be penalized. As per the traffic police representatives, Chief Traffic Officer and District Commissioner have put together eight teams to take action against the motorists who are found without face masks.
The teams have been placed on various checkpoints across the region, to take action against the violators and ensure effective enforcement of SOPs in the area. The police are going to issue tickets to anyone without a face mask as well.
According to Hammad Abid, the traffic wardens are also obligated to follow the Coronavirus mitigation SOPs. If the driver is accompanied by one or more passengers, it is obligatory for all including the driver to wear face masks.
