Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Will Have a 120Hz Display and Smaller Bezels

Samsung already has a number of different foldable Smartphones in its ecosystem including the Galaxy Fold, the Z Fold 2, the Z Flip, and the Z Flip 5G. Successors for these devices will be coming next year and one of them is expected to be the Galaxy Z Flip 3 (even though there is no Z Flip 2).

According to renowned tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will have a 120Hz display akin to the Z Fold 2 and will also have a narrower frame, meaning that it will likely have smaller bezels than before. The tipster also says that it will be cheaper than before, but did not share an exact price tag.

Previous reports have said that the new Galaxy Z Flip will feature stereo speakers and will launch separate from the Galaxy S21 lineup. The S21 series is expected to debut early next year in January and reports on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 say that we won’t see the foldable in Q1 2021.

Rumors also suggest that a Galaxy Z Flip Lite is in the works and it will be the most affordable folding phone ever.

Barrister Khan explained that he had submitted an application to have a case adjourned in a different courtroom because he was unable to attend the hearing after having tested positive for COVID-19 but his application had been rejected. Considering it a precedent, he decided to attend the then-ongoing hearing in the Apex Court.

Apple’s M1 Chip Destroys The Competition on Antutu Benchmark

The Apple M1 chip is the Cupertino giant’s first self-made silicon in a while that is meant to power MacBook laptops. These chips are based on ARM’s hardware and bring drastic performance improvements over Intel’s processors.

A MacBook Air running the Apple M1 chip recently made rounds at the Antutu benchmark, scoring over a million points and knocking the competition out of the park. The iOS Antutu app was run on the MacBook Air while the laptop pretended to be an iPad Pro running the iOS 14.2.

The M1 chip performed much better than the A12Z chipset found on the iPad Pro. The CPU performed 50% better and the GPU had 45% better results, though the laptop has faster memory as well. It performed better than the iPhone X’s A12 Bionic chip as well, which is only a 7nm chip but was the best performing Apple chip before the M1.

Not only did it outshine the A12 Bionic, but the 5nm A14 chipset as well which is found on the latest iPhone 12 series. This is because the A14 is configured for smaller devices with smaller batteries, which limits performance. However, it is worth mentioning that both the M1 and A14 are 5nm chips.

Bitcoin is Closing in on Its Highest Ever Value

Bitcoin has recorded a massive surge above the US$ 19,000 mark for the first time in three years. A driving rally of as much as 3.3 percent was witnessed, with the Bitcoin soaring to $19,272.21 as of 24th November 2020.

Prominent financial firms in the United States believe tomorrow’s money would come in new Crypto flavors, and recent numbers stand evidence for that. The digital currency’s rally was rekindled, for the first time in 3 years, as Wall Street and Main Street expressed renewed interest in crypto-investments.

Holder’s Bargain – The Reason for Recent Bitcoin Jump
Bitcoin surged past the $19,000 mark to an intraday high of $19,272.21 on Tuesday. This impressive statistic has put the world’s most famous cryptocurrency within touching distance of its all-time high of $19,783 of 2017.

In recent weeks, cryptocurrencies have garnered attention, with companies and investors opting to integrate their finances with trending digital currencies. The payment company, Square recently bought $50 million worth of bitcoins, which some investors perceived as quite the unusual use of corporate cash. Having bought 4,709 bitcoin, the digital currency holding represents roughly 1 percent of Square’s total assets as of Q2-2020.

The news of Square’s Bitcoin purchase pushed Bitcoin above US$ 13,000 and fostered speculation about whether the digital currency’s recent rally had the fire to brew a storm. Big Wall Street names like BlackRock’s CEO, Rick Rieder, have also backed the bitcoin rally. Speaking at a local event for venture capital, Rieder said, “Bitcoin is here to stay.”

“I’ve warmed up to the fact that bitcoin could be an asset class that has a lot of attraction,” hedge fund tycoon Stanley Druckenmiller added at a separate event.

Most businessmen and venture-capitalists are skeptical about this “velodrome with no finish line.” Whereas, philanthropist, Ray Dalio, said last week that he “might be missing something about bitcoin,” adding that the digital currency’s volatility harshly plummets its use as an unbreakable store of wealth and exchange.

Yesterday’s surge lifted other trending cryptocurrencies as well. Ether gained 4.3 percent traction, rising to an impressive $622.73 per coin. XRP rose to $0.79, a 54.7 percent intraday hike. Overall, Bitcoin traded at $19,235.79 per share, a massive 166 percent jump YTD.

Rupee Makes an Unbelievable Recovery Against the US Dollar in Just Two Days

The Pakistani rupee is, once again, on its road to recovery against the US dollar.

The rupee appreciated another 81 paisas versus the greenback in the interbank market. The PKR closed at 159.27 as compared with Tuesday’s closing of 161.08.

PKR recovered from almost week-long losses, bouncing back to 159 level, due to a decline in dollar buying from importers.

A.A.H Soomro, Managing Director at Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Securities, while commenting on the Rupee said,

Rupee would continue to swing pendulum around Rs. 160-ish as new buyers and sellers exchange hands. Demand would be on the rise as imports increase and FX reserves are built up. However, the new lockdown would slow down the buying trend for a while. Expect Rs. 160-ish to continue for a few weeks, if not months.

The local currency was losing against the USD since the past week. However, since Tuesday, the rupee has posted a significant gain, and not just against the USD but also other main currencies.

Since the past week, Rupee faced a brief pressure, which declined its value, due to a sudden demand of the USD from the importers who opened LCs in quantum. However, the demand fell again in the market, leading to Rupee’s appreciation.

Sources familiar with the market told ProPakistani that there was a repayment due this month, and the volatility was because of that and more so because talks with the IMF were underway. “We may see more stability in the coming days,” they added.

CEO of the financial advisory Alpha Beta Core, Khurram Schezad, said that there is still room for PKR to improve against the USD as there have been more inflows of Dollars in the market compared to outflows.

Motorola’s Upcoming Flagship Phone Could Feature a 105 Hz Display

Lenovo owned phone maker Motorola is reportedly working on a flagship Smartphone that will hit the shelves in Q1 2020.

Recently, a German publication revealed that the smartphone, codenamed Nio, will come with a 90 Hz refresh rate. However, just a few days after the report, Mishaal Rehmaan from XDA Developers tweeted that the smartphone will flaunt an unusual 105 Hz refresh rate.

However, this most likely means that users will be able to use the smartphone at a 90 Hz setting. Before the ASUS ROG 3 went official, reports claimed that ASUS was testing a 160 Hz refresh rate for the device, but the smartphone came with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. Since Rehmaan revealed that Motorola is testing a default peak refresh rate of 105Hz for the Motorola Nio, the company could be simply testing a higher refresh rate for quality control, and the phone might feature a final refresh rate of 90 Hz.

As far as the specifications of the upcoming Motorola flagship are concerned, according to a German publication, the smartphone will feature a 1080p display, dual front-facing cameras with 16 MP + 8 MP configuration, triple sensor rear camera setup with 64 MP + 16 MP + 2 MP configuration, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 8 or 12 GB RAM, 128 or 256 GB onboard storage and a 5000 mAh battery.
