Motorola’s G series has enjoyed a lot of success over the years and, why not? The mid-range series from the company has offered great specifications, and an overall impressive package at a very decent price.
Today Motorola unveiled the 8th iteration of the G series and while we do to see some improvements, the G8 falls short in some other aspects.
Design & Display The Moto G8 uses a 6.4-inch IPS LCD panel that uses an HD+ (720 x 1560 pixels) resolution, coming in at just 268 PPI. On the top left corner of the display, the front-facing camera is placed in a punch hole instead of a notch this time around.
The construction is plastic overall but the finish is hefty and still gives a premium feel in the hand. Another noteworthy aspect of the phone is the fact that it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Saudi Govt Shuts Down Holy Kaaba Courtyard, Zam Zam Well for Everyone
With 3,300 dead and 99,000 infected according to the latest reports, the world has been sent scrambling to adopt preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Educational institutes have been shut down, flights delayed, sports events called off, and other public spaces cordoned all over the world following the outbreak.

Last week, the Saudi Arabian government banned the entry of all foreign Muslims intending to perform Umrah as a preventive measure. Excise Dept Will Now Use SMS Service for Token Taxes in Punjab
In a bid to remind people to pay taxes, the excise department has contracted the services of mobile phone companies to send text reminders to car owners (defaulters) of token tax.
In the first stage, these messages will be sent to 100,000 vehicle owners and the defaulters won’t be fined till the end of this month.
The E&T department has also sent letters for tax collection on 32,000 cars registered by the government, semi-government departments, as well as private companies. In a bid to collect tax, these departments and firms have been visited by Excise officials.
Punjab police are the biggest defaulters when it comes to token tax in government departments with 1,768 vehicles, followed by Rescue 1122 with 357 vehicles. As mentioned before, the E&T department has started a huge operation against token tax defaulters with officers visiting various departments.

Islamabad Gets New App That Makes Public Offices a Thing of the Past
The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat, has announced the official launch of ‘City Islamabad’ app.
The all-in-one app is up and can be downloaded for all android devices from the Google Play Store.
An iOS version of the mobile app will also be available within the next few weeks.

Punjab Introduces First Ever Literacy Policy
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government has introduced the first-ever Literary Policy, confirmed the Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Social Welfare Raja Basharat.
Formally known as ‘Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education (LNFBE) Policy’, it aims to achieve a 100% literacy rate in Punjab by 2030.
Under the policy, the government will undertake numerous public-private partnership projects to provide out-of-school children in distant areas easy access to education.
The Literacy policy was launched by Raja Basharat in the presence of Minister for LNFBE, Raja Rashid Hafeez, and Secretary, Sumaira Samad.
Some other prominent characteristics of the policy are:
