Continuous power outage on top of severe heat has made life difficult for students in Islamabad.
On Wednesday, at least 25 students fainted during a power outage at a government-run school in Bhara Kahu.

According to their parents, the students suffered a heat stroke, some of them had a bleeding nose. Their condition improved a bit after pouring water on their head, one of the staff members said.
The staff continued to contact WAPDA officials but in vain.

According to the headmistress of the school, they didn’t have electricity since morning. The power did not restore despite multiple complaints to WAPDA, she said.
However, after the incident, the classes were called off and over 200 students were sent back home.
