Number one Test batsman in the world, Steve Smith, is an admirer of Babar Azam’s batting. Smith revealed that he likes to watch Babar batting during a question and answer session on Instagram.

Smith was asked to name his favorite Pakistani cricketer to which he responded, “I like watching Babar Azam bat. This isn’t the first time Smith has showered praise on the Pakistani captain, he has been known to appreciate Babar’s batting in the past as well.
When asked about Babar’s batting earlier, Smith said, “Babar is a very good player. Has a lot of time when he’s batting.”
Smith is one of the best batsmen in the world and certainly the best Test batsman around and him appreciating Babar would certainly boost the Pakistani captain’s confidence.

Babar has been in fine form over the past few years and is establishing himself as one of the finest batsmen in world cricket across all formats. He has been garnering praise from all parts of the world as former cricketers, Nasser Hussain and Ian Bishop, also appreciated the 26-year old’s performances.
Last week, Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, also praised Babar’s exceptional batting skills and referred to him as a ‘million dollar player’.
Babar will be leading the national side for the first time in Test matches as Pakistan take on New Zealand next month.
