Misbah-ul-Haq today announced a 35-player squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand from which the national men’s and Shaheen’s squads will be selected.
The players, along with 20-member players support personnel, will depart for Lincoln on 23 November where they will spend the mandatory 14-day quarantine period. Babar Azam will be the captain in both the T20Is and the Test matches.

Zeeshan Malik, Imran Butt and Danish Aziz get their first-ever call-ups to the national side, while Sohail Khan, Hussain Talat and Sarfaraz Ahmed have been recalled for the tour.
Surprisingly, Mohammad Amir has again been left out, while Asad Shafiq has also been dropped. Aamer Yamin and Zahid Mehmood may have been hoping for a call-up but couldn’t make the list.
This is Misbah’s last team announcement as he has resigned from the post of chief selector.
