Pakistan is scheduled to tour the West Indies from 21 July to 24 August for a five-match T20I series and a two-match Test series. Shaheen is included in both the Test and the T20I squad, while Shadab is Pakistan’s vice-captain in white-ball cricket.

Shaheen Afridi was drafted in by Birmingham Phoenix, while Shadab Khan was picked up by Manchester Originals in the draft. Both the teams will likely announce their replacements in the next few days.

Former international pacer, Mohammad Amir, is the only Pakistani player that will be taking part in the competition. He will represent London Spirit in the inaugural edition of the exciting tournament.

Several other international stars, such as Kane Williamson and Adam Zampa, have also pulled out of the tournament due to various reasons. Both the players were a part of Birmingham Phoenix.

Williamson withdrew from the competition due to an injury and heavy workload. The number one Test batsman in the world has been suffering from an injury over the past few months and is said to be managing his workload ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup in October.

There have been reports that Wahab Riaz might be drafted in for the tournament, however, it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
