The Sindh High Court (SHC) has been informed that the setting up of the Sindh Education Policy Oversight Council will be announced in a week. It will monitor the public sector education to fix the flaws indicated by the SHC mandated education committee.
Justice Salahuddin Panhwar headed a single-judge bench of the SHC to question the appointment of the Chairman of the Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), who is a political person and not an educationist. However, he has set up his office in the STEVTA headquarters and is enjoying many privileges, including luxury vehicles, and has received an honorarium.
