Pakistan has been passing through a sensitive turn for 76 years now and the turn has unfortunately turned into a round about. Among a plethora of reasons for this to happen, the unawareness of the public on how important voting is would be on top of the list. This country has gone through one dictator after another who just filled their coffers while people are languishing in poverty as people did not accept the importance of democracy. Yes, things are not going to change magically just because there is an election but a government that is formed through votes and not in the power drawing rooms is scared of the electorate. Finally, after the constitution got subverted last year, once again, this country has an election on 8th February. With a youth bulge of 63%, we have no other way but to get out and vote, for stability, for health and for peace.
Pakistani celebrities are also urging the public to come out on the 8th of February and vote for their favourite candidates.
