Aesthetics
Samsung has redesigned the interface to make it look minimalistic yet stylish. The new One UI interface has been designed to improve user concentration and to provide easy customizations based on the user’s needs.
The lock screen widgets now offer quick access to basic functions and information, including controlling the media player and checking your schedule for the day. Moreover, users can also reduce the opacity of the widgets on the home screen to enjoy their wallpaper.
The new Android skin allows reorganization of shortcuts to keep most used contacts, applications, and websites just a tap away.
Separate Profiles
Samsung has designed separate work and personal profiles for every user so that they can have different shortcut arrangements based on their requirement. For example, if a user wants his/her work contacts in the share sheet while at the office, he/she can choose the contacts to be replaced with friends and family when they leave the office. The Dark mode toggle is also more reachable.
Camera
With the new UI, the camera application leverages AI smarts to improve image quality when zooming in, and the pictures edited in the gallery can be reverted back to their original state. Moreover, the image gallery will suggest images, like Google photos, to take a trip down memory lane.
Apart from this, Samsung has slightly tweaked its wellbeing applications that now help users in identifying their bad habits by showing week to week changes.
The update will start rolling out for S20 users in the US, South Korea, and most of Europe later today and will expand to other regions soon.
