The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro recently made rounds at JerryRigEverything‘s renowned durability test, showing remarkable sturdiness and durability. Now the other two siblings in the lineup, the iPhone 12 Mini and Pro Max have appeared on the durability test and they are no different.
Once again, the new ceramic shield protection on the screen proved to be more scratch-resistant on both phones. Though it does get scratched at levels 6 and 7 at Moh’s hardness scale, the scratches left behind were fainter than other smartphones.
As for the sides, the iPhone 12 Mini gets more prominent scratches as it has an aluminum coating, whereas the Pro Maax features stainless steel which is more resistant. The back of both phones is scratch resistant as well.
The burn and bend tests were no different either. The screens of the two phones took no damage when exposed to an open flame for over 50 seconds. The oleophobic coating on the screen melted away but the pixels took absolutely no damage. Neither of the phones showed any signs of flexing or structural damage during the bend test either.
