If you are a Pakistani and you still do not know who Allama Zameer Naqvi is – that seems unbelievable. Shia scholar Allama Zameer Naqvi has sadly to meet his maker, breathing no more.
The scholar and preacher, known for his viral statements on social media, breathed his last at the Agha Khan University Hospital.
Zameer suffered a heart attack yesterday, and could not be saved in time. His body was then taken to the Ancholi Imam Bargah where his funeral prayers were offered around Maghrib.
Author of over 300 books – writing in various fields such as literature, culture, religion, philosophy, journalism, logic, sociology, oratory, science and a couple of different languages.
But this wasn’t the real reason for his fame. Naqvi’s staunch religious persona and some of his statements, seemed very unbelievable to the Non-Shia audience.
Thus, Zameer’s’ statements got as viral as anything else has. From “Main nahi bataunga” to “Yeh to kisi kitaab mein nahi likha” – from Quaid-e-Azam’s horse to the Nepal incident – everything Zameer Naqvi said, became a source of memes. Allama once even found a link between Alexander and coronavirus.
Sadly, the scholar will provide no such entertainment to the people who targeted him. Along with Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, many other celebrities and figures have offered their condolences.
Rest in peace Allama sahab, no matter Shia or Sunni, you will definitely be missed, along with the stories of Laddan Jaffri.
