Karan Johar thanks all artists who performed and spoke for I for India

Owing to the ongoing pandemic and subsequent lockdown our lives have come to a halt, and the worst sufferers are the ones left without a home, livelihood and food. Bollywood stood united to gather as much help as possible. Last night, a one-of-its-kind virtual concert, I for India, took place, featuring the Who's Who of Bollywood. The vision for the concert was to entertain those locked down in their homes, pay tribute to those who are working on the frontlines and to raise funds for those who have no work and no home and do not know where their next meal is coming from.

Twenty-four hours after the show went live, they managed to collect Rs 54 crores. “He has always been an elder brother to me,” writes Sanjay Dutt as he remembers Rishi Kapoor

Early morning on April 30, actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last after a two-year-long battle with leukaemia. His death gutted the entire film industry and his fans. Owing to the lockdown, the actor was given a small funeral in the presence of immediate family members and close friends.

On Monday, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt took to Instagram remembering Rishi Kapoor. He shared a picture with Ranbir and Rishi Kapoor. Remembering the senior Kapoor, he wrote, “One thing that Chintu Sir taught me was to always do things with a smile on our face! It's going to take some time to sink in that Chintu Sir is not with us anymore. He has always been an elder brother to me. Can't believe he is gone!”

On May 3, Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima and Neetu Kapoor along with Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji were seen at Banganga to immerse Rishi Kapoor's ashes and perform puja. They were following the protocol of mandatory face masks and gloves as they bid farewell to their beloved.

Sameera Reddy says she loves flaunting her flabs wasn’t confident enough when she was skinny

In a recent conversation, actor Sameera Reddy opened up on how after her pregancy, a 'dark phase' began and she quarantined herself at home for nearly one and a half year. She also added that this mentally prepared her for the lock-down which is now going on.

A mother to two, Sameera has opened up on post-partum depression time and again. While it is not an easy stage of life to deal with, Sameera says she is in love with the new version of herself, which isn't really slim or sexy in the typical way. She said her slim version from her acting days had no confidence but now, she is really confident enough to flaunt her flab.
Sameera also emphasised that our perspective towards the lockdown was important and we could use it as an opportunity. She added that she did not get to spend to spend so much time with her husband ever since they got married.

Karan Johar pens a note of thanks as I for India concert raises Rs 54 crores

Due to the ongoing pandemic, our lives have come to a halt, and the worst sufferers are the ones left without a home, livelihood and food. Like always, Bollywood stood united to gather as much help as possible. Last night, a one-of-its-kind virtual concert, I for India, took place, featuring the Who's Who of Bollywood. It was a fundraising initiative aimed at helping the needy as well as the front-line workers.

From Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar to Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and more joined in, and the concert turned out to be a massive success and has managed to raise Rs 54 crores already. Karan Johar, one of the initiators of it, took to Instagram to pen a note of gratitude. “From our hearts to yours. Thank you for watching. Thank you for responding. Thank you for donating. I for India started out as a concert. But it can be a movement. Let’s continue to build a safe India. A healthy India. A strong India. I for India,” he wrote.

Ayushmann Khurrana pens a touching tribute for the Handwara martyrs

In a recent counter-operation in Kashmir at Kupwara district's Handwara, four Indian army personnel along with a Sub Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police lost their lived, with two terrorists also being killed.
