Dr. Zakir Naik is a famous Islamic scholar. He is admired for his extensive knowledge of Islam and various other religions including Hinduism, Christianity and Judaism. Dr. Zakir Naik hails from India but is currently banned by the Indian government. Dr. Zakir Naik now resides in Malaysia, where he continues his work in spreading Islamic teachings, focusing on Dawah (Islamic outreach). He recently came to Pakistan on a short 20 day visit along with his son.
A few days ago, Dr Zakir Naik’s statement about PIA went viral on social media and also ignited severe criticism. In the video, Dr Zakir Naik expressed his anger with the team PIA, who charged him money for his extra luggage. Here is the video:
Recently, Dr. Zakir Naik apologized, saying, ‘Governor Kamran Tessori urged me to forget the PIA incident, which I have already forgotten. However, he mentioned that my statement hurt many Pakistanis. So, if I have caused any distress, I apologize”. Here is the link to his video in which he apologized:
Previously, Mishi Khan and Pakistani fans expressed their anger over Dr Zakir Naik’s complaint regarding PIA. Many stated that rules are for everyone, and as a scholar, he should be more understanding of that. Mishi Khan said that he came to Pakistan to tarnish Pakistan’s image and gain India’s sympathy.
