The iQOO 8 series has frequently appeared in teasers and leaks over the past month and we have even seen hands-on images for the devices. Vivo has now revealed a launch date as well, confirming that it will become official on August 17.

The text on the poster says “Full Control on the verge of iQOO 8 Series Conference”, which is likely a hint at the iQOO 8’s high performance, but in a rough translation.
Previous reports have shown that the iQOO 8 will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 888+ SoC with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. iQOO recently demoed 120W fast charging at the ChinaJoy convention, but an unconfirmed rumor claims that it will actually support up to 160W.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 8 will sport a Samsung E5 LPTO AMOLED screen with 2K resolution. The leaked images have shown that the display will be curved on the sides but flat on the bottom. The selfie camera is placed in a centered punch-hole cutout.
Since the phone is only two weeks away from launch, we expect to see more detailed reports very soon.
