Former batting coach, Younis Khan, revealed the reason behind his sudden resignation from the post. Khan revealed that his relationship with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took a hard turn as they demanded him to join the bio-secure bubble on 20 June.

Khan said that he already had a dental appointment on 21 June and had no prior knowledge of the date to join the bio-secure bubble. Khan revealed that the PCB official informed him that he would not be able to join the Pakistan squad for the tour of England if he does not report to the bio-secure bubble on the given date.
The former middle-order batsman said, “I got a call from a PCB’s high-up, and he asked me to join the bio-secure bubble in Lahore on 20 June. I told him that I had a dental checkup and I won’t be able to join on the said date.”
“He [the official] then said that ‘You [Younis] will not be able to go to England. Don’t you know what had we done to Hafeez when he denied coming on the said date?’ I stopped him there and said I am not Hafeez, I am Younis Khan. And, what you did with Hafeez was also not a big achievement,” Younis informed.

According to the rumor mill, Khan was also reportedly unhappy with the involvement of the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) coaches for the training camp.
Khan revealed that he had no issues with the involvement of the NHPC coaches, but he was disappointed with being kept in the dark till the last moment. He revealed that he was not told who will be joining him at the camp and blamed the PCB for not informing him beforehand.
Former captain rubbished away the rumors that his bust-up with Hasan Ali was the reason behind his resignation. Khan said that the incident with Hasan had already been resolved as the fast bowler apologized to him, and there were no hard feelings between the two of them.
