Prime Minister Imran Khan said that all the economic indicators, increase in revenue collection, GDP growth, and increase in exports suggest that the country’s economy is headed in the right direction.
The PM made the statement during his telephonic Q&A with the public over the weekend. This is the third such discourse he has organized with the public.
Furthermore, on the subject of the economy, Imran Khan stated that the country listed record tax collection by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with over Rs. 4.143 billion collected in taxes. He mentioned that figure is expected to considerably increase with automation of the process following the implementation of a track and trace system. This would eventually have a positive role in reducing the debt the country is laden with, added the premier.
