Your video gaming obsession is going to get exceptionally enhanced because Garena Free Fire just announced the ‘Free Fire Continental Series 2020’.
Cherry on top? The playoffs for this International Tournament are also happening in Pakistan. Yes, you heard that right! With more than 5oo million downloads on Google Play Store, Free Fire has already made quite a name in the hardcore gaming arena and this just takes it to the next level.
The Karachi qualifiers took place on October 17 where 72 teams with around 320 players (including substitutes) participated.
Teams were further divided into six groups. Four teams from each group qualified for the semi-finals. A total of 18 matches were played on October 17, and 24 teams qualified for the semis on October 18.
Six teams from each group qualified for the finals while only 12 reached the ‘Karachi Qualifier Finals’. It was played on the same day.
Four teams – Cloud Seven, MakeYouCry, Team Alpha, and Bad Guyz – qualified for the ‘Pakistan Qualifier Finale’ which will take place on November 7.
Now, we’re looking for 4 other teams from Lahore which we will find through the Lahore qualifiers on October 24 and 25, 2020. So you better get your practice sessions in so you can take part in the qualifier!
Similarly, next up will be Islamabad qualifiers on October 31 and November 1 at Marriott Hotel Islamabad. Remember that only the teams with the fastest and proper registration will be chosen. So, hurry up!
The Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) 2020 was announced in August and will substitute the World Series 2020, which was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Pakistan tournament includes:
- 6 Playoffs
- 72 teams
- 288 players
- 2 Semifinals
- Final
Only 4 players will qualify for the semi-finals. The grand finale is definitely gonna be thrilling!
