Osman Khalid Butt is a multi-talented artist. He has done great projects as an actor and he is also a choreographer writer and theatre director. He has been in dramas like Aun Zara, Diyar e Dil and Ehd e Wafa. People love to watch him on the screens however he takes up only a small number of roles when he is convinced by the content being produced.
Osman was a guest on Tabish Hashmi’s show and shared that his mother was French while his father was a Kashmiri from Punjab and Lahore is where his whole family lived. He shared how his mother integrated herself in a Punjabi joint family and the obstacles she faced while settling in her new life.
He shared that at first his mother could speak only some Urdu but when she came to Pakistan and realized that her in laws were talking about her in Punjabi, she then learnt Punjabi so she could answer them in their own language. She was a very resilient woman and always prioritized her family and education. She made a French school in Pakistan later on and lived here before she passed away several years ago in 2006 which was a huge loss for the whole family. She was a beloved figure not just for her own children and husband but also among her in-laws.

He also shared how his mother loved Pakistan. As a French national she was given the option to leave Pakistan during the 65 and 71 wars but she decided to live here as Pakistan was her home.
