Nabeel Zafar is an incredible Pakistani actor, host & producer. He got fame through his blockbuster drama serial Dhuwan. His other notable projects include Ajaib Ghar, Din, Qissa Saat Raaton Ka, Daldal, Payal, Shayla Kot, Aansoo, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dais Pardes and Bulbulay.
Recently, Nabeel Zafar appeared in Faysal Quraishi’s podcast Pressure Buhat Hai. In the podcast he discussed his views about award shows in detail.
Talking about it, Nabeel Zafar said, “I don’t have any issues with award shows. Awards are basically appreciation, it’s not something like a property or material benefit. So, the appreciation that is given to the wrong person becomes painful for the person who deserves it. So, awards are good, but we have seen a lot of lobbying here. Nowadays, Pakistan, the actors who have been receiving pride of performance awards are giving justification of their awards. My take is, what is the use of such an award after which you have to tell people why have you gotten it? It’s better not to get an award like this. Award functions should happen but they should give it to genuine people.
He further added, “Awards are given by the public, like I have recently met a kid with Down syndrome, and he was literally living in the world of Bulbulay. Such awards are precious for us. In Pakistan, a get-together is arranged and named as award show”. Here is the link to the video:
