Noor Jahan is the recently concluded, multi-starrer drama with a very strong viewership. The show ended up becoming a major hit and fans are still discussing the ending with Noor Bano and all the daughters-in-law forgiving Noor Jahan. Noor Jahan’s director Musaddiq Malek spoke to The Current and shared his views on the debate regarding its ending.
Musaddiq Malek was the man behind Noor Jahan and he said that all over the world, there is an ending which people call The Directr’s Cut and this is The Director’s Cut for Noor Jahan and people can disagree with it.

He added that he wanted to impart a message that generational trauma needs to heal and breaking the cycle and forgiving is important. That is why they showed that all the bahus ended up forgiving their saas when she asked for forgiveness.

He also revealed that not only Yasir Nawaz but Rubina Ashraf and 4 other directors said No to Noor Jahan as they thought it was a saas-bahu saga. It was also rejected by 18 actors before the final cast was finalized.
