The organizers of Pro Football League have vowed to hold the first season of the league before the end of the year subject to the pandemic situation.“Covid-19 pandemic permitting, the inaugural season of Pro Football League is expected to kick off during the 4th quarter of 2021” the organizers have announced.

Haider Ali Daud, the Founder of Strawberry Sports Management, the organization which has initiated the league, is very hopeful that the Pro Football League will be a landmark event for the football clubs belonging to all parts of Pakistan.
“Pro Football League will be a unique football league for Pakistan in many ways, but one which is needed the most for club and game development. We have brought together twenty plus leading and renowned football clubs from all the parts of the country for the multi-year League”.
“The format of the League will be open and the participating clubs will compete on round-robin basis. After the conduct of a minimum of three seasons, the League will expand into two divisions along with mutually agreed upon promotion and relegation rules. In due course we will build capacities of the constituent clubs both on and off the field to enable them to steer themselves in a self-reliant and sustainable manner” Haider added.

Owing to the prevalence of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the management believes that they will utilize this time to build the technical capabilities of the clubs through coaching, training and mentoring on one end while focusing towards building their respective brand equity on the other end.
“Covid has hit every aspect of our lives including sports, without further delay, we are looking forward to kick off the development campaign for the participating clubs” the league sources have added.
The league management have also disclosed that signed-up clubs hail from Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
