Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to restart direct flights to Bahrain.
Earlier this week, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had allowed the national flag carrier to resume flights to Bahrain by operating two flights weekly.

According to details, the first PIA flight to Bahrain departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, earlier today.
The second PIA flight will depart for Bahrain from New Islamabad International Airport on May 10.

In this regard, the spokesperson for PIA, Abdullah Hafeez Khan, noted that flight operation to Bahrain was suspended on account of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The said move will help residents of Saudi Arbia to return via road through Bahrain.
He added that PIA has taken all the necessary arrangements to operate biweekly flights to Bahrain.
