Hyundai Nishat is being praised for displaying a sense of consideration for its customers by recalling vehicles for a free replacement of a faulty ABS module that could start a fire in the engine compartment.
Automotive Pakistan shared a photograph of the component that is being replaced free of cost by the Hyundai Nishat 3S dealerships all over Pakistan The photograph of the module was shared on social media by an owner of the Tucson SUV, which is the only vehicle in the company’s lineup that, as per Hyundai Nishat, is susceptible to the issue.

Last week, the automaker had issued a message addressing the Tucson SUV owners and informed them of the potential threat. The problem was due to a malfunctioning ABS module that could short-circuit and set the vehicle ablaze. Along with the replacement of the module, the company also offered a free ECU upgrade.
The Tucson SUVs have had a few fire incidents after the launch, and Hyundai Nishat was admirably prompt in responding to the potential problem for the owners.
Another vehicle to reportedly burst into flames often is the Kia Sportage. It bears mentioning that, apart from the metal skin, the Sportage and the Tucson are practically the same vehicles, and the company is yet to address the issue.

Lucky Motor Company, the key stakeholders in Kia Pakistan, did address the issue once last year, placing the onus on the owner for making “aftermarket modifications” to the vehicle. Despite those reports and some other recorded incidents, the company is still silent on the matter, which has also been a topic of discussion for automotive enthusiasts lately.
