Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faces hindrance in the implementation of the new financial model of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The franchises, facing losses for the last five years, had moved to the Lahore High Court (LHC) in September last year against the league’s current financial model. The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has claimed that illegal mining has ended in the province. In a bid to stop illegal mining across the province, around 30 officers were suspended and disciplinary action was taken against them. The police received almost 2,669 complaints of illegal mining in the last two years, of which 1,336 were converted into FIRs.
