These Autonomous Killer Robots Are USA’s New Weapons of Mass Destruction

Zak Kallenborn, an expert in unmanned systems and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), has argued that some drone swarms of the US Army count as WMD as they are capable of inflicting damage on a large scale.
While the current US Army’s drones such as MQ-9 Reaper are controlled remotely by a pilot flying the drone and a payload operator aiming and launching the missile, US Army’s drones in the future will have more autonomy during flying and fighting with little human supervision.
U.S. Army has long been working on a lethal drone swarm which Zak has termed as Armed, Fully-Autonomous Drone Swarm (AFADS).
Once launched, AFADS will locate and engage targets without zero human oversight. Zak terms AFADS as a WMD because of the degree of destruction it can cause without distinguishing between civilians and military targets.
In 2017, Slaughterbots had also released a viral video aimed at awareness against the autonomous weapons of the future.
Although Slaughterbots’ video was fictional, US..

Fitbit has Developed an Emergency Ventilator for Coronavirus Patients

Following NASA and Dyson, Fitbit has also developed an easy to use and low-cost ventilator designed to treat coronavirus patients.
Unveiled on Wednesday, the Fitbit Flow is an emergency ventilator that has been designed in consultation with healthcare workers working against COVID-19.

It has various sensors on-board to help monitor the patient and has a clear window through which doctors and healthcare workers can view the automated respiratory bag. Standard ventilator functions such as oxygen pressure and volume control are also present.
However, the Fitbit Flow is not a permanent solution as it only acts as a stopgap to keep patients alive until they can be put on standard machines. Thus, conventional ventilators are still necessary.
Fitbit research scientist Dr. Tony Faranesh said that the goal is to support life in the event that a machine is not available in an emergency. He added that they are already working out the ethics in deciding who gets the ventilator and who doesn’t..

I Respect Kohli But Don’t Fear Him: Naseem Shah

It might take some time before we get to see major cricketing battles, especially the Pakistan-India clash in the Asia Cup. The event, which was scheduled this year, is likely to be postponed due to the coronavirus as the Asian Cricket Council is yet to make its final decision on the matter.
The hosting rights rest with Pakistan, however, it is understood that the event is to be hosted in the UAE or elsewhere due to BCCI’s refusal to send its team across the border.
I respect him but don’t fear him. Pakistan’s teenage pace sensation, Naseem Shah, has expressed his desire to bowl to Indian captain, Virat Kohli, saying he looks forward to bowling to the best in the business. Poco F2 Pro Passes JerryRigEverything’s Durability Test

The Poco F2 Pro, also known as the Redmi K30 Pro, has arrived at the popular JerryRigEverything torture-test and it has some big shoes to fill. Last year’s value champion Poco F1 performed remarkably well at Zack’s durability test and, aside from a few hiccups, its successor has not disappointed either.
Let’s have a look.
The scratch test was nothing out of the ordinary. Having an ordinary glass screen, the Poco F2 Pro’s IPS LCD scratched at a level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7. The pop-up camera, however, is more prone to scratches as it is entirely made out of plastic. Otherwise, the rest of the phone is quite scratch resistant.
The hardness levels mentioned here are on Moh’s Hardness Scale where materials are rated based on how hard/durable they are. As a general rule, material at a certain level on Moh’s scale can only be scratched by the same or harder material. For example, a level 6 material can’t be scratched or damaged by a level 5 material, but it can be scratched by ..

Multinational Companies Repatriated $190 Million in April Despite Lockdown

Multinational companies doing businesses in various sectors of Pakistan have made repatriated $190 million in profits in April during the slowdown in the economic activities due to lockdown in connection with the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the profit sent by multinational companies and foreign investors to their headquarters in April was the second-highest during the current financial year after it made nearly $198 million repatriations of dividends in October 2019.
This showed that economic activities were restored partially in different sectors with SOPs by the provincial government, which allowed a few sectors mainly providing essential services to continue its business activities.
