OnePlus Founder Says People With Small Hands Are Evolutionary Failures

The OnePlus Founder and Product Head, Xuan Sun, made a bizarre tweet on Sunday that roughly translated to “small-handed people will fail to fertilize and only people with larger hands will survive”.
The original tweet has now been removed but it reportedly had a morbid thumbnail of an unconscious child being given CPR. There are now a few Weibo and Reddit threads that quote the original tweet that said that people with smaller hands cannot adapt to the changes in mobile phone sizes, and thus, will lose the ability to stay connected to the digital world. China’s New COVID-19 Outbreak Shows That the Virus Might be Evolving

Chinese doctors are witnessing the Coronavirus manifest differently among new patients emerged in the northeast region against the original breakout in Wuhan in late December last year.

FBR Needs Rs. 374 Billion This Month to Meet its Revenue Target

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has been able to collect Rs. 227 billion during May 2020 as compared with Rs. 330 billion during May 2019, reflecting a decrease of Rs. 103 billion as the pandemic has slowed down economic activities all over the country.
During the first eleven months of July-May 2019-20, FBR was able to collect Rs. 3.534 trillion against the annual revised target of Rs. 3.908 trillion set for the entire fiscal year (2019-20), reflecting an amount of Rs. 374 billion to be collected in June 2020.
FBR now faces the huge task of collecting Rs. 374 billion in the last month for achieving a downward revised target of Rs. 3.908 trillion till June 30, 2020. Last year, the FBR had collected Rs. 518.357 billion during June 2019.
The revenue board had collected Rs. 242.460 billion in April 2020 against the revised target of Rs. 200 billion, reflecting an increase of Rs. 42.46 billion.

The World Bank has agreed to join hands with Pakistan to support the latter’s disaster resilience and ecosystem restoration initiatives through more reliable and timely weather forecasting, improved disaster risk management services as well as help tackle growing environmental challenges.

AGP Ltd to Sell COVID-19 Treatment in Pakistan Soon: Report

AGP Ltd, a Pakistani pharmaceutical company is planning to sell a COVID-19 treatment drug named remdesivir within one to two months in the country, reported Bloomberg.
AGP’s Chief Executive Officer Nusrat Munshi told Bloomberg that they plan to seek permission from the country’s drug authority to import the medicine.

Situation Report: 2,964 New Cases and 60 Deaths Reported in 24 Hours

Pakistan saw another deadly day as 2,964 new Coronavirus cases were reported in the country while 60 patients died of infection over the past 24 hours.
Of new cases, 1,184 cases were reported in Punjab, which had curiously scaled down its testing efforts and reverted to pre-Eid days. Sindh, however, is still 25% short on testing when compared to Pre-Eid week and it reported 885 new cases.
KP tested record 2,216 suspected patients yesterday and 487 tests came back positive. Islamabad registered another 171 new cases in a single day.
Deaths in the country declined to 60 from 88 a day earlier, as Punjab reported 22 while Sindh said 16 patients died in 24 hours.
KP reported 20 deaths. Islamabad and Balochistan reported one death each.
A NCOC meeting held on Saturday said that Pakistan is likely to see a peak on June 15th, and it’s likely that cases and deaths will plateau after June 15.

Fuel Prices Reduced Significantly in Pakistan

The government has made significant reductions to the price of fuel in Pakistan.
According to a notification issued on Sunday, prices for June 2020 were reduced as follows:
Petrol by Rs. 7.06 per litre Kerosene by Rs 11.88 per litre Light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 9.37 per litre However, the price of diesel has been increased by 0.05 rupees.
It is worth mentioning that the government approved Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) recommended reduction in prices.
After this new approval, the petrol price has come down from current Rs81.58/litre to Rs74.52/litre, Kerosene price has come down to Rs35.56/ litre from current Rs47.44/litre and the LDO price has been reduced to Rs38.14/litre from current Rs47.51 litre.
Diesel price has been increased by Rs0.05/litre to Rs80.15/liter.
The government is charging 17% general sales tax (GST) on all petroleum products.
