Pakistan’s exports have been increasing gradually. During the ten months of the current fiscal year (July 2020 to April 2021), the exports to UK have jumped by 31% to $1.709 billion from $1.309 billion in Jul-Apr 2020, according to a tweet by the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood. Pakistan has received a consignment of one million Sinovac vaccines from China as the country continues to battle the third wave COVID-19. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK 6852 reached Islamabad on Sunday carrying doses of China’s Sinovac vaccine. This was the 15th consignment carrying COVID-19 vaccines that reached Pakistan from China. United Arab Emirates has added Pakistan to the list of countries from where citizens are not allowed to enter the Arab Emirates, said the UAE Civil Authority. Order will be effective from May 12th, 2021 – 11:59pm. Other countries who made to UAE’s suspension list include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. India was already part of suspension list as Indian citizens were barred to enter UAE borders last month. The AstraZeneca-Oxford University’s COVID-19 vaccine will only be administered to citizens aged 40 or above, SAPM on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan has confirmed. The federal government’s decision to provide 20 percent relief in fee concession to the students of private educational institutions from April 2021 until the reopening of schools has been welcomed by their parents who have sought full implementation of this decision in letter and spirit.
