The Government of Sindh will launch a Prison Information Management System in all 23 jails in the province in July to improve monitoring and administration. Chief Secretary (CS) Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and the federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz co-chaired a meeting at the Sindh Secretariat to discuss the progress on the introduction of prison reforms in Sindh. Five major banks wrote off Rs. 1.24 billion amount in thirty-nine cases during the year 2018. Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA) on Tuesday asked Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin to amend the Finance Bill 2021 to withdraw 4 percent “Super Tax” applicable on banks through the amended Finance Bill 2021.
