Fatima Bhutto wed Graham (Gibran) in a private family ceremony that took place in their Clifton home. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a brother of Fatima Bhutto, broke the news. On his Twitter page, he shared the news of his sister’s marriage. The lovely image of the bride and groom from the private Nikah ceremony was also posted by Zulfikar Bhutto.
“On behalf of our father, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, and the Bhutto family, I’m very happy to share some happy news,” Zulfikar Ali Bhutto wrote. Yesterday at our house, 70 Clifton, Fatima and Graham exchanged vows in a private nikah ceremony. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto added that Fatima’s relatives and loved ones were present at the event. He also gave a quick justification for why they didn’t have a grandiose wedding celebration. The ceremony was held in our grandfather’s library, a place that holds a special meaning for my darling sister, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto wrote.We all agreed that big celebrations would be inappropriate given the challenging conditions our fellow countrymen and women are facing. “Please keep Fatima and Graham (Gibran) in your prayers,” he pleaded further, asking the world to pray for his sister.
