Here’s a Comparison of CM Punjab House’s Expenditures in PTI and PML N Govt

Punjab Chief Minister House under Usman Buzdar has reduced its expenditures by 40 percent as compared to those incurred under Shehbaz Sharif in 2017-18.

The Punjab government issued a statement comparing the expenditures incurred during the incumbent government and its predecessor.

The statement pointed out that during the financial year 2017-18, the overall non-salary expenditures were Rs. 238 million, which have now been reduced to Rs. 140 million.

It said that the culture of lavish spending has been averted, not only in his office but in the entire province.

“The previous government wasted the public money without any justification, while the PTI government is the custodian of every penny,” the statement read, adding that the people, not the elite, have the first right over the resources.

The elite and the mafias played havoc with the country in the past but the PTI eliminated this plunder.

The statement added that previous rulers used public money for the construction and repairs of personal residences, a practice that has now been abolished.

The CM Punjab, in another statement, heaped praises for the 2021-22 Punjab budget, saying it would bring an era of development and prosperity in the province.

“A record Rs. 560 billion development budget had been announced, recording a 66% increase.”

Another Rs. 25 billion have been allocated for mega projects through public-private partnership.
