Rashid Latif Banned from Karachi Press Club

Former Pakistan wicket-keeper, Rashid Latif, has been banned from the Karachi Press Club after misbehaving with the journalists. According to the journalists, Latif’s behavior was erratic as he ridiculed and used foul language with them.

Karachi Press Club said that Latif has been banned and has been barred from entering the building for the foreseeable future. Karachi Press Club’s working committee strongly condemned the statements made by the former captain of the national team. They further said that Latif’s attitude towards the journalists is reprehensible and lauded the journalists for their sacrifices for the freedom of expression.

The working committee said that it does not befit any honorable person to use such kind of language, and this incident has also raised question marks on other cricketers. They added that this incident has deeply concerned the journalistic community.

They further stated that the journalistic community would not tolerate such foul language used against them, and if Latif has a personal problem with any journalist, he should come forward and state his name rather than targeting the whole community.

The tirade continued as they stated that Latif threatened them in the past as well, and this time, they had to take the strict measure of banning him from the club. They said that Latif’s attitude and character are not hidden from anyone, and there are several allegations against him, even by his former teammates.
