The Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab, Inam Ghani, has directed the concerned authorities to complete the computerization process of the Punjab Police’s service record by 10 June.
He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of high-ranking police officials at the Central Police Office on Tuesday.

ICP Ghani said that the process of the close monitoring and up-gradation of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) of the Punjab Police should be done with the utmost care and diligence.
“The DIG IT and DIG Headquarters should re-examine the human resource management information system data and ensure the presence of complete service record of all gazetted officers from Inspector to Additional IG rank in the system,” he added.

IGP Ghani also stressed that every show-cause notice, certificate of appreciation, reward, punishment, ACR, and all other departmental details issued to department officers should be included in the HRMIS.
So far, the Punjab Police is the only provincial department to have successfully digitized the data of 1,88,884 non-gazetted and 899 gazetted officers in the HRMIS. It is hoped that the previous manual system will be discarded and that transfers/postings will be done solely via system-generated orders.
