To ensure the smooth resumption of operations in the tourism sector, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a new and updated series of guidelines and COVID-19 related protocols.
A spokesperson for the provincial government was quoted as saying that all the guest houses, hotels, tour operators, and related services have been ordered to get their employees vaccinated as per the national vaccination policy. Additionally, the government has also made the collection of negative PCR/RAT COVID-19 reports compulsory for all hotels and guest houses when booking rooms for tourists at their facilities.

The spokesperson also said that the guests and travelers who have been vaccinated will be required to submit a copy of their vaccination certificates to the management of the hotels or guest houses where they intend to stay.
From 1 July onwards, rooms will not be reserved for guests aged 40 and above if they are unable to submit their vaccination certificates or negative COVID-19 tests to the concerned authorities.
