Babar Azam Vows to Bring a Change That Will Turn His Critics Into Fans

Babar Azam recently faced criticism from cricket experts over his inability to finish off games. Babar was unable to take Pakistan to victory over Zimbabwe in the third ODI despite scoring a century, which disappointed the fans of the Pakistan cricket team.

In response to the criticism, Babar said that he is aware of the situation and is trying to improve this aspect of his game. He said that he has been working hard to improve his finishing ability and will try not to repeat the same mistakes again. He said that his innings in the final of PSL 5 is proof of improvement.

Babar will be leading the national side for the first time in Test matches on Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand and he is confident of putting on a good show and getting good results on the tour.

“Arriving in New Zealand, earlier than normal, will help us in acclimatizing with the conditions and preparing adequately for the series,” Babar said.

“We have a good record against New Zealand, both, home and away. Our team is performing well and there is a good combination of senior and junior players. We want to utilize this opportunity and make a solid team for the upcoming [T20] World Cup,” he added.

The 26-year old also said that Pakistani fans have high expectations from him. He hoped to continue his fine form with the bat and lead the Men in Green to victory.
