Samsung has a 200MP camera sensor in the works and Xiaomi may be the first to use it. There is little known about this rumor so far, but tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some more details in a new leak.

According to this tipster, Samsung’s upcoming camera sensor will have a 192MP resolution with support for 16-in-1 pixel binning. It will output 12MP resolution images but will be able to bind them together into a 192MP photo. It will also support 4x native zoom with high digital quality. This will be enabled through cropping instead of binning.
This will require a lot of processing power, which is expected to come from the Snapdragon 888’s successor, tentatively known as the Snapdragon 895. This is expected to be a 4nm chip featuring next-generation Kyro CPU cores, the Adreno 730 GPU, and a new Spectra X65 5G modem.
The tipster also shared details of the mysterious Xiaomi phone with this camera sensor. He says that it will have a display with extreme curves on the side and a punch-hole selfie camera. This means that we will have to wait some more to see an under-display camera sensor.
It is unclear which phone series it will belong to, but it is highly likely to be a part of the Mi Mix lineup with standout features.
We may see a late December reveal this year or any early January announcement in 2022.
