The vaccination process in major cities of Punjab has resumed following a delay for several days due to a shortage of COVID-19 vaccines.
According to the deputy commissioner of Lahore, the Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines are now available at the centers, however, those who need the AstraZeneca vaccine would have to wait longer.

The government received a fresh supply of Sinovac vaccine from China which helped in the resumption of the inoculation process in Punjab districts including Bahawalpur and Multan.
However, the situation in Karachi has not improved with several centers still closed due to a limited supply of vaccines.
Besides, Sindh also announced that vaccination centers will remain closed on Sunday. In addition, the mass vaccination center at Karachi Expo Center is also not fully operational yet.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will receive 2-3 million doses of Chinese vaccine next week which will be followed by a supply of coronavirus vaccine tranches.
