Earlier this year, social media giant Twitter announced that it’s working on a new feature called Super Follows. This would allow users to charge their followers for extra content, similar to Patreon.

App researcher Jane Manchun Wong has spotted the feature on Twitter, indicating that it should be arriving soon. According to Wong’s research, which is usually accurate, you need to have at least 10,000 followers on Twitter to start a Super Follow page. You also need to be over 18 and have at least 25 tweets within the past 30 days.
Users will have to pay a sum of money to become a Super Follower and they will get access to bonus content such as exclusive tweets.

Wong also discovered a list of categories users can choose to describe their exclusive content. This includes categories like Sports, Tech, Podcasting, and more. You can also choose other content platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Substack Patreon, Twitch, and more.
Twitter has refused to comment on Wong’s research, but the company has mentioned working on the feature before. But since it has been spotted, it could only mean that the feature is set to go public soon.
