Sindh Starts COVID-19 Vaccination for 18 Year Olds Without CNIC

The Sindh government has decided to extend the COVID-19 vaccination campaign to citizens who have attained 18 years of age but have not yet obtained their CNICs.

The decision has been taken on the recommendation of the provincial Task Force on Coronavirus, headed by Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Speaking to the media, a spokesperson for Sindh’s health ministry said that one can present documents like birth certificates, B-forms, or academic certificates to prove their identity in order to receive the vaccine.

In the case of domestic servants aged 18 years but lacking CNICs, their employers will be required to fill out a pro forma at the vaccination center and provide their personal information to enable their servants to get the jab.

On the other hand, Sindh recorded 1847 new cases and 36 deaths from Coronavirus during the last 24 hours. The overall provincial COVID-19 tally has reached 387,261 cases and 6,057 deaths.

More than 222,000 citizens were administered the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday in Sindh as well. A few weeks ago, only 50,000 citizens were receiving the vaccine in a day. However, for the last few days, more than 200,000 citizens are being administered the vaccine every day.
