Sindh Proposes 10 New Projects in Karachi in Upcoming Budget

The government of Sindh will launch ten new projects in Karachi in the provincial fiscal budget 2021-22.

According to the details, nearly Rs. 24 billion worth of allocations have been proposed for the schemes in the port city for projects for the supply of water and construction of roads.

The provincial budget will be allocated for schemes in Lyari, Malir, Baldia Town, Keamari, and the District Central.

Besides this, a 20 percent increment in the salaries of the government’s employees and a 20 percent increase in the pension of its retired employees is also expected in the upcoming provincial budget. It is likely that the salaries of the government’s employees will be increased according to their pay scales.

Meanwhile, the allocation of Rs. 3 billion for the purchase of buses for Karachi in the budget 2021-22 has been proposed.

The provincial budget will be presented by Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah on 15 June.
