Saudi Arabia to Announce Hajj Details in Coming Days

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Hajj will reveal the details for Hajj 2021 in the coming days.

The Saudi Minister for Commerce, Majid Al-Qasabi, who is also the Acting Minister of Media, said that the Saudi Ministries for Hajj and Health will soon announce the details for Hajj this year in light of the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

“The constant mutation of the coronavirus, the lack of clarity about the damage caused by the spread of this virus, and the scarcity of vaccines in many countries have delayed an announcement regarding Hajj 2021 details,” Al-Qasabi said.

He stated that the number of coronavirus variants has rendered it essential to carefully and correctly evaluate the damage caused by the spread of the virus.

Al-Qasabi said, “We don’t want this year’s Hajj to be an epicenter for the spread of the disease in the Kingdom or the Muslim world”.

He also declared that the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in Saudi Arabia.
