Annual examinations of matriculation and intermediate in Sindh will be organized in July, Education Minister Sindh, Saeed Ghani, has confirmed.
While addressing the media, Ghani said that the decision has been taken after consulting the steering committee which consists of education experts and other relevant stakeholders.

He added that the steering committee will make the final decision regarding the exams of classes 1 to 8 in the coming days.
The Education Minister revealed that around 155 projects of Sindh’s education department will be completed by the end of June.
He said that the Sindh government is hiring 37,000 teachers. Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur has been tasked to conduct the tests and interviews to ensure transparency.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has recommended the federal and other provincial governments to consider taking exams of only elective subjects of matriculation and intermediate students.
The recommendation will come under discussion at the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) that will be held later today to decide regarding the exams of matric and inter amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
