Redmi Note 10 Pro to Get a 5G Model With New Chip

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is one of the best mid-range phones of 2021 with a lot of notable features. It comes with a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 108MP main camera, and 33W fast charging, but it is still missing a prominent feature, 5G.

The growth of 5G has slowed down quite a bit due to the pandemic but it is still spreading at a steady rate regardless. Redmi may be looking to take a slice of that pie with a 5G version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which has just been hinted at in the Spanish market.

The promo image shows the back of a Redmi Note 10 Pro with a caption saying “challenging the limits of 5G”. This is a clear indication that Redmi plans to introduce a 5G model for the Note 10 series, similar to the previous Redmi Note lineup. This model will most likely have a new chipset to support 5G connectivity.

Rumor has it that it could be the Snapdragon 750 5G, which would be an improvement over the Snapdragon 732G seen on the 4G model. It will likely not be the Mi 11 Lite 5G’s Snapdragon 780G as it would kill the sales for the Mi lineup.

Other than that, it remains to be seen whether it will be identical to the Redmi Note 10 Pro 4G or if it will have other differences based on the region.
