Realme’s division for smart gadgets dubbed the TechLife is reportedly planning to introduce a new brand. The company CEO Madhav Sheth recently disclosed the news and teased that the new division’s name will start with the letter ‘D’.
However, he did not mention whether Realme is launching a new brand or if another company will be joining Techlife. Either way, the new brand will have its own product line.
Realme is set to make a full announcement and reveal the nitty-gritty on 25th May. Nevertheless, we are expecting the company to drop in more teasers until then.
This new venture seems like a part of Realme’s plan to launch over 100 new AIoT products this year. In a recent interview, talking about the company’s plans, Sheth said,
AIOT is another springboard of massive growth and we have set our sights to become the No. 1 Audio / Wearable / Smart TV brand with 15MN AIOT users in India and build Realme TechLife eco platform with Realme’s own product and partner brand.
In another interview he detailed,
We will be supporting our partners who have joined the ‘Realme TechLife’ platform with our product, R&D, supply, and quality assurance. We leave options to onboard brands to choose their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners freely.
Thus, the new brand will most likely be focused on developing an ecosystem of smart products for a company like Xiaomi.
