Flights from the two countries are expected to arrive in the country within the next couple of days. However, the UAE authorities have not allowed the flights to land in the host city, Abu Dhabi, instead they will land in a different city. The touring party will be required to comply with the Covid-19 protocols before traveling to Abu Dhabi to take part in the tournament.
Elsewhere, two chartered flights, carrying around 200 players and staff from Lahore and Karachi landed in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The players and staff have already begun their quarantine period in the hotel rooms.
More than 25 other players and staff members have been held back due to visa issues, but they are expected to travel to UAE on Friday and they will also begin their isolation period as soon as they arrive in the country.
