Oppo Reno 6 4G Announced With More Cameras and 90Hz Display

Oppo has unveiled the 4G version of the Reno 6 5G announced in May. However, it is not just a difference between 4G and 5G as the two phones have different specifications as well.

Design and Display

The display specs are no different. The phone has a 6.4″ 90Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner underneath. The punch-hole front camera also sits in the same spot.

However, while the Reno 6 5G had more of a flat look, the 4G sibling has a curved rear panel which is made by the Reno Glow design process. The camera lenses are slightly smaller and the device is lighter and thicker overall.

Internals and Storage

The Dimensity 900 SoC from the 5G model has been swapped with the Snapdragon 720G, but the memory configuration is the same. You get 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, but there are other options as well. There is no memory card slot for storage expansion, however.

The phone boots Android 11 with Color OS 11.1 on top.

Cameras

There are a few differences in the camera department as well. The 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, and the 2MP macro units are now accompanied by an additional 2MP monochrome camera.

The punch-hole selfie camera has been upgraded from 32MP to 44MP.

Battery and Pricing

The battery capacity is the same as before (4,310 mAh), but the fast charging has been reduced from 65W to 50W.

The Oppo Reno 6 4G will be available in Aurora and Stellar Black colors for an average price of $360.
