The MG ZS EV is the ‘first in its segment’ all-electric SUV that has no competitors in the local market for now, and this gives it a huge advantage over other EVs that might come to Pakistan in the future.

MG has also begun test drives of the ZS EV which has received rave reviews for its features, performance, and overall driving experience.

However, the public is concerned about the limited EV charging infrastructure in Pakistan which could hamper the EV ownership experience. Although the range of the EV is 320 km on a single charge, there is only a handful of EV chargers across the country, and this could make recharging the vehicle a hassle.

Their other concern is the price tag of Rs. 6.85 million which is too high for most local buyers and is indicative that the ZS EV is likely to be targeted at a limited number of buyers.

Considering all these factors, it will be interesting to see how MG establishes its value and desirability in the Pakistani market as the majority of buyers hail from the low and mid-tier socio-economic classes.
