Earlier, a group of 25 players and staff members were not able to travel to UAE via chartered flights after visa issues, but several members of the touring party were later provided with their visas. They have since arrived in UAE and are observing the required quarantine period.

The PCB decided to fly the remaining members on a commercial flight to Abu Dhabi via Doha on Sunday. The players and staff were once again not allowed to board the plane due to the absence of required clearances set in place due to the pandemic.

The players have since then been allowed by the PCB to go back to their hotels. However, they will be required to board the flights once this particular issue is resolved. PCB is looking for an alternative, and the players and staff members will likely fly via a commercial flight to UAE via Bahrain in the next couple of days.

The rest of the touring party, which includes more than 250 players, staff members, and the broadcasting team, have already arrived in Abu Dhabi and have already started their quarantine period. People who have traveled from Pakistan are expected to spend at least seven days in quarantine, while the players and broadcasting team that flew in from India and South Africa will spend a minimum of ten days in quarantine.

The logistical issues have added to the stress of conducting the remainder of the tournament. As the Pakistan national team is expected to travel for their tour to England on 23 June, the window to hold the remaining matches of PSL has narrowed down significantly. The schedule of the tournament has still not been released yet, with the PCB looking to resolve the issues at hand.
