A toll-free helpline (1715) and IG Complaint Desk (ICD) have been introduced by the Islamabad Police to prevent the misuse of their authority and to enhance the rate of their responses to public complaints.
These initiatives that have been taken under the supervision of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, will help in the internal accountability of police officers and will ensure that they are more receptive to public issues and grievances.
