Coronavirus vaccine will be available for all people across the province from 16 May, Sindh’s Health Minister, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, has revealed.
While briefing the media regarding the ongoing vaccination campaign, Dr. Azra said that the Sindh government has planned to vaccinate 70 million people by the end of 2021.

She added that the provincial government will establish new vaccination centers all over the province as more Coronavirus vaccine doses reach Pakistan.
She requested the public to avoid crowded spaces and unnecessary travel and adhere to COVID-19 SOPs. She also requested the citizens to register with the authorities and get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

Last month, Dr. Azra had confirmed the presence of UK, South African, and Brazilian variants of COVID-19 in Sindh.
In a video message, she said that Agha Khan University Hospital performed a genomic study on 13 different samples of Coronavirus. The UK variant was detected in 10 samples while South African and Brazilian samples were detected in 1 sample each. The original strain of COVID-19 was detected in 1 sample.
